Manual Therapy
Manual therapy works well to decrease joint pain and stiffness, therefore improving function. All joints can be mobilised or manipulated with manual therapy.
Dry Needling
Dry needling (acupuncture) can be used to decrease muscle spasms and stiffness especially on stubborn trigger points that do not respond to other soft tissue techniques like massage.
Rehabilitation
Exercises are part of any physiotherapy appointment. They help lengthen short muscles, strengthen weak muscles and activate stabiliser muscles. This will promote your return to normal function.
Strapping
Strapping or taping is useful to stabilise injured joints or to decrease strain on injured muscles to assist recovery. We use rigid tape or kinesio tape (k-tape) according to your needs.
